St. John's Lutheran School has been awarded the first-ever badge among Lutheran schools from the Chicagoland Lutheran Educational Foundation (CLEF)! St. John's is part of CLEF's Medallion School of Distinction Program which encourages Lutheran schools in Chicago to demonstrate that they have met rigorous standards of excellence in academic rigor combined with a solid foundation of Christian values. CLEF provides resources and support to the schools throughout the Medallion Program as the schools move through the process of achieving badges and ultimately Medallion status. The Medallion Program identifies four main areas that are critical to a school's success and sustainability:
As a result of the work of the St. John's staff as well as an assessment conducted by CLEF, St. John's has been awarded the Governance Badge under the area of School Leadership and Sustainability! CLEF has determined that St. John's exhibits excellence in school governance and that the school board climate and culture successfully promotes the school's mission and Christian values. We are so proud of the administrative staff who have worked hard to achieve this honor! We are also thankful for the members of our board who continue to lead with wisdom as they uphold the mission and values of our school. Finally, thank you to CLEF for awarding us this honor!
