What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"
Seeing my friends everyday and knowing everyone in my classes and in most of the school."

What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders?

"You shouldn't be afraid to be yourself."

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"Mr. Benedict for making me love English and reading. I now want that to be one of my future careers. I would also like to thank Mrs. Johnson. She was the first teacher I met in Kindergarten and she made a good impression that I will always remember."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"
Lincoln Park High School."

What are you excited for in high school? 

"
New classes and people."

What is one hope you have for your future? 

"That I will own a snake and a turtle."

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

John 16:33: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

"Joining the volleyball team."

What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"The familiarity with my teachers."

What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders?

"Use the quizlet."

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"Mr. Benedict and Mr. Mike. I'd like to thank Mr. Mike for being a long-term substitute for Mrs. Franklin. He was a great teacher and an inspiration to us all. And thank you to Mr. Benedict for being a great English teacher and also for being the funniest teacher."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"Loyola Academy."


What are you excited for in high school? 

"New friends."

What is one hope you have for your future? 

"To find something that I love doing."

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

1 Thessalonians 5:26: "Greet all God's people with a holy kiss."

"One of my favorite memories is probably always keeping score at recess kickball games with Brenda."

What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"The teachers."

​What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders? 

"Study hard for constitution test and do every sport you can."

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"All of the teachers for being encouraging."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"Homeschool."

What are you excited for in high school? 

"Playing sports."

What is one hope you have for your future? 

"I would like to earn a doctorate in theology."

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

Romans 8:38-39: "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."

"When Mrs. Runge gave me all of the money in her bank account. Just kidding! It's probably when I got to hang out with my 8th grade buddy in Kindergarten."

What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"Being with my friends, classmates, and teachers."

​What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders? 

"You're going to have a blast!"

"Every teacher and student."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"Northridge Prep."


What is your favorite Bible verse? 

Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."

"What is your favorite memory at St. John's? 

"I can't narrow it down to just one memory, but my favorite memories are the simple ones. The ones where we just sit down as a class and do something together like playing a game, or  talk. These are my favorite memories because they are memories we chose to make together.

What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"My classmates. No matter what kind of day I was having, they would cheer me up either by their ridiculous jokes, or genuine kindness."

​What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders? 

"Make memories that will last you a lifetime."

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"My classmates for helping me become the person I am today. I wouldn't be where I am without their support. I would also like to thank Mrs. Runge for being my biggest cheerleader and giving me the advice and help I needed to be able to move on from St. John's and achieve great things."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"I will be attending Lane Tech."

What are you excited for in high school?


"I'm the most excited about having a fresh start, new people, new environment, and new memories."

What is one hope you have for your future?

"That I get to go to the college of my dreams."

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

Isaiah 53:5: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."

"What is your favorite memory at St. John's? 

"
Probably when we 'went to' Hawaii in Kindergarten. We had kiddie pools, water toys, and a lot of other fun things. We also pretended to fly on a plane by taking chairs and lining them up to look like an airplane. We also had some snacks and drinks."

What will you miss most about St. John's? 

"
The smaller class sizes and time to have one-on-ones with the teachers."

​What advice do you have for the incoming 8th graders? 

​"Have fun!"

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"
The High School Prep teachers - Ms. Franklin, Mr. Benedict, and Mrs. Runge."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"I will be attending DePaul College Prep."

What are you excited for in high school?

"All of the different activities."

What is one hope you have for your future?

"To be able to do something related to film." 

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

1 John 3:1: "
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him."

"My friends and being in middle school together."

​"Study and do your work!"

Who would you like to thank at St. John's?

"All of the St. John's teachers, our substitute, Mr. Mike, and all of my friends."

What high school will you be attending in the fall? 

"I will be attending Walther Christian Academy."

What are you excited for in high school?

"I am excited to play baseball in high school and to make new friends."

What is one hope you have for your future?

"To play baseball as long as I can." 

What is your favorite Bible verse? 

John 3:16: "
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Dillon, we are excited to watch you flourish at Walther next year!
