"My husband and I prayed for months for God to place Avie in a school, that not only nurtures her intellectually and emotionally, but also spiritually. When Avie came home waving her art book on God's creation, and narrated every page to me, it brought tears to my eyes."

New Family Connections in the Fall

Parent Teacher League

The Parent Teacher League meets regularly to connect and plan events. Volunteering and attending events is a great way to build connections! Information about the PTL will be provided at Back to School Night.
Mentor Family Program

Current Families serve as Mentors to new families during their first year at St. John's. Mentors welcome and assist new families during the transition to school. Two Mentor Program events are hosted each year.
Coffee & Convo Event

In the fall, families are invited to join us for a Coffee & Conversation event after they drop off their kids for school. This is a great way to meet and connect with other school families while enjoying a hot beverage!

The average classroom size at St. John’s is 13 students. We cap our PreK-3 classroom at 15 students, our PreK-4 and Kindergarten classrooms at 20 students, and our 1st-8th grade classrooms at 24 students.
The teacher to student ratio is 1:8 in PreK-3, 1:10 in PreK-4 and Kindergarten, and about 1:24 in grades 1-8.
For PreK-3, students must be three-years-old by September 1st, for PreK-4, students must be four-years-old by September 1st, and for Kindergarten, students must be five-years-old by September 1st.
St. John’s offers financial aid to families based on need. The financial aid application is available when families submit an application to enroll at the school. Over the last four years, families have received anywhere from $600 to $2,000 in financial aid. Learn more about financial aid at this link.
Your family does not have to be Lutheran to attend St. John’s. In fact, more than one-half of St. John’s families identify as non-Lutheran and attend other Christian churches.
A typical school day begins at 8:30am and ends at 3:15pm. Half-days in PreK-3 & 4 are from 8:15am to 11:30am.
St. John's partners with School Eatery to provide customizable, fresh and nutritional lunches for students. Visit the link to learn more!
Technology is incorporated at each grade level in an age-appropriate way and is based on developmental level. In Early Childhood, technology is used occasionally to supplement the students’ learning through the use of ELMO Boards. In grades 1-2, students spend some time learning how to use Chrombooks, which are primarily used for testing throughout the year. In grades 3-5, the time on technology is increased, and about 25%-40% of a typical day is spent using Chromebooks for various activities. Chromebooks in grades 6-8 are used regularly as tools to complete homework, conduct research, and to supplement their learning.
  • St. John’s before care program begins at 6:45am and the after care program runs till 6pm. St. John’s extended care program provides a safe and nurturing environment for students to play, complete homework, study, relax, and participate in a variety of enriching activities.
    • Before Care Rates: $21.25/child, $35/two children, $40/three children
    • After Care Rates till 4:30m: $21.25/child, $35/two children, $40/three children
    • After Care Rates till 6pm: $40/child, $67.50/two children, $78.75/three children
